Possibly the same bird I shot several days ago, taken in the same location and a section of the "spectacles" appears indistinct in both birds. No easy task to get him this time either. I was staked out in a birdy spot, but moved when I noticed all the action was behind me (isn’t it always). Five minutes after wrestling the tripod out of one clump and into another, I see this fellow working the trees in the area I had just vacated
Have you ever noticed how mixed flocks visit and revisit an area over the course of hours. On his third fly by, heralded by a wren on each occasion, he landed right in front of me for a crazy minute and I got the above shot
